so the weather here in VA has been kinda nuts lately. we got a ton of snow a few weeks back, sandwiched between some really nice days in the 70s and 80s. it has been a little more consistent since the beginning of the month, but we’re ready for spring around here.
so yeah, we got a lot of snow, and it was bug’s first snow! she HAD A BLAST!! so let me give you an idea of what a lot of snow is to us here in richmond, va.

nine inches! yes, that is a lot for around here. considering we haven’t really had a good snow in 2 or 3 years, this was major. and we were excited. especially ladybug.
she wasn’t really sure what to think of it. the night it started snowing and sticking to the ground it was the most wonderful thing she had ever experienced. she ran and frolicked (yes, i said frolicked) about the backyard and had a great time enjoying this “cold stuff” that was falling and sticking to the ground. she had never seen anything quite like it before.
but then it didn’t stop snowing, and it didn’t stop snowing, and it didn’t stop snowing until we had about nine inches on the ground. it came up to the dog’s barrel-like chest, she was plowing through the snow as she played. she had so much fun, it was like a little kid. she was just tearin’ ass around the backyard, stickin’ her face down in it, chasing snowballs. . . it was great. here’s some pics:

and this one is great, she’s ready to come in i think:

and do you notice the raincoat? (i’m sure you do) i have come around on the raincoat. it actually is a great thing to put on her when there is precipitation falling from the sky. it keeps her back dry and therefore she doesn’t stink as bad. so yes, as silly as i initially thought the raincoat to be, it has proven quite useful. and it looks very cute. haha
